Dr. Björn Söndgerath (40) has been appointed as a fourth member of the team of Ventizz Capital Partners AG as of July 1, 2010. Dr. Söndgerath has been with the company since 2007 as an investment director.
Prior to joining Ventizz he was with MTU Aero Engines AG, where he held several management positions in business development and corporate finance. These included, for example, forming and growing a joint venture in Malaysia as well as building international control systems for associated companies for all of MTU's maintenance facilities world-wide.
Prior to this, he spent six years as a consultant and scientific employee with the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft, where he advised customers on a large number of business process reengineering, strategy development as well as technology and innovation management projects. At the same time, he served as a managing partner of VeBCo GmbH, a Fraunhofer Gesellschaft spin-off advising technology-oriented start ups.
He graduated in industrial engineering from the University of Siegen, Germany, holds a Diplôme d'Etudes Supérieures Spécialisées (DESS) "Gestion de la Technologie et de l'Innovation" from the University of Paris - Dauphine, France, and a doctorate in engineering from the University of Magdeburg, Germany.
