Ventizz Capital Partners Advisory AG announces that Ventizz Capital Fund III, L.P. and Ventizz Capital Fund IV, L.P. acquired via a capital increase a minority stake in ersol Thin Film GmbH (etf), one of the leading companies in the area of thin film technology.

Founded in Mai 2006 as ersol New Technologies GmbH, the ersol Thin Film GmbH is the organisation within the ersol group specialising in the area of thin film technology. With ersol Thin Film GmbH ersol builds - supported by the Ventizz funds - a facility for the production of micromorphous thin film modules based on amorphous and microcrystalline silicon. Until end of 2008, a total of ca. 160 jobs will be created.

The acquisition represents the so far largest investment of Ventizz Capital Fund IV L.P., the latest Ventizz fund which was closed in December 2007. Willi Mannheims, Managing Partner of Ventizz responsible for the transaction explains: „etf with its excellent know-how in the area of amorphous and microcrystalline thin film technologies is extremely well positioned to develop into a leader in the dynamic market environment of photovoltaic thin film modules”.
